During my trip to Germany a couple of weeks ago, we got to wander around in the city of Berlin for a couple hours. While unfortunately we didn’t get to see most of the city, we did get a good feel of the amount of creativity there is to find here. Street Art in Berlin is literally everywhere.
Looking for the street art Berlin is so famous for? Go visit The Hackesche Höfe! It’s a courtyard complex close to the Hackescher Markt in the centre of Berlin. From the outside, you wouldn’t see anything out of the ordinary. But when you enter the second laneway on the Rosenthaler Straße, you’ll find yourself in streetart-heaven.

The Hackesche Höfe is full of quirky stuff!
Street Art Berlin: exploring the Hackesche Höfe further
Last time I was in Berlin, I only had a short amount of time. But I knew that when I would return, the Hackesche Höfe (previous photos here) would be one place I’d spend more time. And take a lot more photos!
Even in the couple of months in between my trips, a lot of the artworks here had been altered, added-onto or even replaced completely by something else.

This is how I found the mysterious alley in March 2014:
